Location Start/Finish: Criterium Bike Shop, 6150 Corporate Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80919 MAP
 

Course Description: This course is sensational!! Phenomenal views,
super challenging but brutally fun 63 miles, 80% Dirt, 20% paved
and bike path. Starting at Criterium Bike Shop, following bike

path to Garden of the Gods, thru the Garden, up Rampart

Range Road to Mount Herman Road, down to Monument, 

back on path thru the Air Force Academy and finishing at

Criterium Bike Shop.

• 2 Aid Stations, 1 1/2 up Rampart Range rd and
  at around mile 32. Please bring more 
  water and food than you think you might need:)

Awards will be approximately 2 hrs after 1st rider finishes. 230-3pm?

PRE RACE LETTER
 

Aid Stations:
Aid #1 ½ way up Rampart Range Rd, water and snacks (Buffalo Lodge)

Aid #2 mile 32 (Team Telecycle) , bike maintenance,
water and snacks.

Safety:

Road is open to traffic. Please be extra careful traveling down
Rampart Range Rd and down Mt. Herman Rd. Please don’t cross over
to the left descending, narrow road and vehicles will be traveling up!

Parking: 6816 Corporate Drive, Colorado Springs, CO Approximately
1 mile north of Criterium bike shop

Registration and packet pickup:
Starts at Criterium Bike Shop at 7am-830am, Race starts at 9am.

We will have a neutral start till we cross over Mark Dabling

at the Santa Fe Trail.

Weather:

Looks like a high of 78 w/ little chance of rain, please bring a light

windbreaker, temps on top of Rampart Range Rd. may be 10 degrees

cooler than in Colorado Springs.

Event Time Line:

A very fast cyclist will complete the Rager in 4-5hrs, a strong cyclist in about 6-7 hrs, a moderate cyclist 7-8 hrs. The first 2+hrs is almost all uphill so pace yourself and be prepared for a long enjoyable day on the saddle. Once you get to Mt. Herman road you have a long descent and rollers from Monument to Criterium/Finish. This is an open Bike path and there will be cyclist/walkers/runners on the path so pass w/ caution.
